I love animals.  Absolutely adore them and am passionate about anything to do with them, whether it be supporting fantastic no-kill shelters like Best Friends Animal Sanctuary or reading through books that feature adorable animal pictures.

I Has a Hotdog will give you warm fuzzies, which surely is its main objective, as well as making you laugh out loud.  I chuckled, giggled and outright bellylaughed over some of the adorable and wisecracking dogs gracing the pages of this book.  Who wouldn't love a sad eyed dog begging for a hotdog, or a dog caught cuddling up with the dreaded cat and looking appropriately shamed (but when it's thundering, rules are meant to be broken, right?)

I Has a Hotdog is the perfect gift for the dog (or animal) lover in your friends and relatives, or even yourself!

Endorsement from my dog . . .

Mi hoomin got thiz buk to red and I think it is teh best buk EVER.  Every hoomin shuld have thiz buk so you can no all aboud treats, play time, treats, bad kittehs and treats.  Go to teh stor now!  And take yur goggie with you fer a walk!

My dog had to have his tail removed for health reason, all of it, but he still runs in circles chasing it, but he doesn't even have so much as a nub :)

Our dog "found" the fun-size chocolate bars one Halloween. She wasn't very good at unwrapping them, but she liked the taste of paper too. Her "deposits" were brightly colored and well-read for several weeks afterwards.

My cat loves taking showers! If the bathroom door is open, there's a good chance, she'll be in the shower with me.

Dusty was a rescue and was very skinny when he first came to our house. One day he walked out of the kitchen with an empty Diet-rite cola box stuck on his head. The contrast of the skinny dog and the diet-rite box was so funny that I had to grab the camera before I took it off of his head.

Hey, psychotic! *waves*

Our dog, Romeo, eats everything in his bowl in about 7.2 seconds and then BELCHES, loudly, afterwards. It's hilarious!

My pooch likes to climb in the fridge, he's tiny, well miniature, so it's easy for him, but I have to remember to check before I close it!

The cutest thing my little shih tzu does is peek into the bathroom door when I am in it.

I have so many wonderful memories with my dogs....
I had a black boxer, Achilles...fondly called Killy Willy....he was taken from me way before his time due to parvo {even with the injections...spent 1000s and 1000s trying to save him}
He used to love baths..when he was a little puppy, he'd get one each week, and I taught him to splash the water in the tub by snacking it with his paw. As the months went by, no one in water was safe...he jumped in the shower with you and in the bath with you and started splashing and playing. By the time he was huge at 7 months old, water would cover the bathroom. It was a great fun memory of a wonderful dog...he sits at my side on my desk cremated.

Geez, ok, now that I'm'd love to be entered, this book sounds perfect for me and the kiddos: majik.of.mystee(at)

My favorite pet was a Siamese fighting fish with deep blue fins and red eyes.

He terrorized all the other fish, and when I'd dip my fingers into the tank with flakes of food, he would try to bite me. I called him Demon and was very fond of him. :)

My dog tipped over flower pots inside my house so there was soil all over the house when I came home and the flowers were all chewed to pieces.

My dog chewed up a library book completely to shreds. I had to collect the pieces and take the shredded papers in a bag back to the library and explain that my dog did that.
